Rogue takes in the events of the last few days only to find herself
awakening in a burning and devastated city, hunted by Wolverine. She
engages in a lengthy battle with him across the city which she
ultimately wins; she then discovers that this was all a Danger Room
simulation and the team have agreed that she must be their new field
leader, though she is reluctant. Elsewhere, Colossus is at Harry’s
Hideaway as anti-mutant sentiment grows with Senator Kelly’s campaign -
when a group named The Goth appear and put the patrons in a trance.
Thunderbird, Psylocke and Archangel arrive at Harry’s and they too are
placed in a trance, though they get a distress call out first. By the
time the others arrive, all of the inhabitants of Salem Center have
vanished. Rogue decides that this is important enough that they must
call in Gambit and the rest of the X-Men.
