A group of demons preys upon lonely residents of Gotham, killing them
in order to summon "the Archon." Batman discovers their plot while
investigating a missing boy whose body was found. He is captured and
used in their summoning ritual, which is successful. Batman overcomes the Archon when it tries to devour him. The
Archon is injured and devours its followers to prevent its decay, but
falls into a vat of acid and disintegrates, returning to its home
dimension.
